Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet

Steak and Potatoes are the classic combinations that almost everyone swears by. What’s not to love when it comes to juicy seared steak, crispy roasted potatoes and a dash of garlic all baked together in a pan? This amazing dish is filling on its own, however, you have the choice to add your own sides as well. The best sides that complement the garlic butter steak and potatoes are a basic salad, parmesan green beans or honey brown sugar roasted carrots.

How to Sear a Steak Perfectly at Home

The essence of any steak lies in the art of its tenderness. Everyone loves a juicy seared steak that is brown on the outside and lighter on the inside. That is the mark of a perfectly good seared steak. To achieve this perfect cooking of a steak, you need to heat your skillet at a medium-high heat a few minutes before you put the steak on it. Remember to give both sides of the steak exactly the same time to cook.

  10. Garnish with fresh thyme and parsley.
  11. Serve immediately while hot.

Recipe Notes

You can try any steak cuts for the recipe but try finding the right size. Small steaks are still 4-6 inches long, so choose accordingly that fit into the steak with the potatoes. The thickness of the steak is preferably 1 inch according to the recipe. Thin cuts can be overcooked if followed by recipe time. An overly thick steak will not be done through along with the potatoes. You would have to sear them for more time and give them more time to bake. You can use an oven-safe skillet for this recipe, but using a cast-iron pan is highly recommended because it helps you to get the perfect sear on your steak.

Enjoy!

Steak, Cheese, and Mushrooms? Yes Please!

Quick, easy and elegant are three qualities to look for in a good recipe. Well, one capable of encompassing all three are steak rolls. Cheese and other delicious fillings rolled into a thin steak that is cut into rounds before being pan seared are delectable every time. The beefy swirls give off an heir of sophistication that remains approachable and on top of that, are incredibly easy to prepare.

There are endless filling options but cheesy crusted spinach and mushroom steak rolls left a lasting impression. The brief description alone is enough to make your mouth water since the flavor combinations are brilliant! Meaty mushrooms with steak, and bitter spinach? Come on, what can get better? You get juicy beef, the earthy flavor of the mushrooms compliments the meat and the bitterness from the spinach balances everything out for the ultimate savory bite every time.

The rolls look like tasty little appetizers or the shining star of an entree you’ll find at a fine dining restaurant. After placing them in the hot pan, the meat browns beautifully and the cheese filling oozes out which creates a lovely crust on each swirl.

Quick Cheesy Spinach and Mushroom Steak Rolls Recipe

Steak, Cheese, and Mushrooms? Yes Please!

As the author states, although fancy, making these steak rolls is a cinch.

“These steak rolls may look fancy and all, but trust me they are so simple to make! The steaks are pretty thin so they cook fast. Only 5 minutes to prepare. Cook each side until brown for about 3 minutes then pop them into the oven for about 5-10 minutes. In the past, I would use thicker steaks because I suck so bad at butterflying them, so this time I wanted to use thinner steaks. It’s a win for me because I didn’t have to butterfly it and they cooked faster. I love saving steps.”

Don’t we all love time-saving steps? Better yet, isn’t a quick, simple recipe that yields a high-quality result impossible to resist? Whether you are just becoming one with your kitchen or are an experienced cook like us, these are a must-try. The recipe is approachable, saves time and, if you wish, is easy to edit to your liking.

We Are and Will Forever Be Obsessed with a Good Steak Dinner…

Any recipe that brings the steakhouse into the kitchen is worth a second look. Many recipes involve pretty underwhelming cuts that we can have on any normal day so after coming across a recipe featuring ribeye (a highly marbled and incredibly beefy cut)and blue cheese butter, a closer look was imminent. Who can resist ribeye and a rich blue cheese compound butter? That is culinary indulgence at its finest.

This recipe is a real gem. The steak develops a lovely, flavor packed crust on the exterior, the tender meat is almost buttery and juices escape the beef with every bite. As for the blue cheese compound butter on top, it enhances every aspect of the steak. The rich aroma and deep flavor add depth to the premium cut and more fat to the already generously marbled meat making it all the more decadent.
